President Idug emphasized social entrepreneurship
Stating that commercial production and social benefit are not opposing concepts, Bornova Mayor Dr. Mustafa Idug said, “It is possible to provide social benefit with the commercial products developed. With the widespread acceptance of the understanding of trade shaped through the concept of social entrepreneurship, an important step will be taken for the implementation of sustainable economy models for non-governmental organizations.”
NGO Campus
Bornova Municipality transformed Altındag Ataturk Cultural Center into a Non-Governmental Organizations Campus with the arrangements it made in 2020. The campus serves NGOs with the concept of Co-working Space, the new generation working model of the future, which is the first in Izmir within local governments. In this way, by increasing the communication network of NGOs both among themselves and with the municipality, it creates sustainable working, meeting and event spaces within their productive and creativity.
