Founding Identity

The hangel ecosystem consists of two separate legal entities: an association that carries out the social-benefit mission, and a technology company that operates the hangel platform. The two are legally distinct.

The non-profit legal entity running civil-society work such as social entrepreneurship, workshops, conferences, and the entrepreneurship library.

Technology Company (platform operator)

The commercial legal entity operating the hangel platform (marketplace, donation infrastructure, mobile apps). It is separate from the association.

İsmail Hilmi Adıgüzel

Social Impact Entrepreneur

İsmail Hilmi Adıgüzel is a social entrepreneur and a pioneer of social innovation, and serves as Country Leader of Social Business Global. He is the founder of initiatives including hangel.org, Genç Haber, İki Kitap Publishing, and the Youth Platform Association (Gençlik Platformu Derneği, 2009). He is the author of the books "Sosyal Girişimcilik, Kapitalizm v2.0" (Social Entrepreneurship, Capitalism v2.0) and "Pelerinsiz Kahramanlar" (Heroes Without Capes), and has led master's programs in social entrepreneurship as well as international workshops.

About Social Business Global

Social Business Global (official name: International Social Benefit Association) is a civil society organisation that promotes social entrepreneurship and social innovation from Turkiye to the world. Social Business Global works together with hangel; its events, volunteering and public-sector cooperation run on the hangel platform.

  • Co-implementation of the Ministry of Interior of Turkiye project conferences on revenue models and sustainability for NGOs.
