About Social Business Global

Social Business Global (official name: International Social Benefit Association) is a civil society organisation that promotes social entrepreneurship and social innovation from Turkiye to the world. Social Business Global works together with hangel; its events, volunteering and public-sector cooperation run on the hangel platform.

Some of Social Business Global's work

  • International Social Entrepreneurship Workshops since 2019, each with participants from about 20 countries (the first in Istanbul, July 2019).
  • A 29-article draft Social Entrepreneurship Law.
  • 258 awareness conferences across Turkiye.
  • The Social Enterprise Dataset, built from a detailed review of 634 social enterprises.
  • Turkiye's first master's programme in social entrepreneurship, in cooperation with Mersin University; an "Applied Social Entrepreneurship" course open to all departments at Maltepe University.
  • A youth and volunteering network cooperating with 42 universities.
  • Co-implementation of the Ministry of Interior of Turkiye project conferences on revenue models and sustainability for NGOs.
