“We attach importance to university-industry cooperation”
Tuncay Sahin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DTSO, said that they have been trying to accelerate the work of the chamber since 1.5 years, that they attach importance to University-Industry cooperation studies and that they have taken many important steps as a result of these studies. Sahin said, “We have 31 council members from 11 professional groups. As a chamber, we have developed projects for our 10 professional groups. Again, as a chamber, we established the Science and Technology Commission for the first time in Turkey. At this stage, our Rector gave us the incubation center in Technopark. Our commission continues its work in this area. As a chamber, we established strong Young and Women Entrepreneurs Boards. Our friends are dynamic and very hardworking. We try to support all the work of our friends and try to be involved in their work. We are very happy to be here today and to make a program to a full hall. We have achieved University-Industry cooperation, but unfortunately we cannot achieve Public-Industry cooperation. Our demands remain unanswered by the public. Unfortunately, our demands such as the declaration of the Defense Industry Pilot Zone and the Gendarmerie School were not met by the public. We are struggling for the development and progress of Duzce. You young people also have great duties at this point. We will be with you in every project you will develop. You can come to our room with peace of mind and share your projects with us.”

Cakar added that social entrepreneurship is a new phenomenon that has emerged thanks to changing economic trends, and thanks to this phenomenon, commercial enterprises are more involved in social work.
