Ismail Hilmi Adiguzel: We will inspire new social entrepreneurs
The participants, who came together to discuss every aspect of the concept of Social Entrepreneurship, which is felt more intensely every day, and to examine successful examples, made their preparations months in advance. 936 people applied to participate in the workshop and 25 participants from 20 different countries attended.
The workshop was attended by young social entrepreneurs from Turkey, Italy, Tunisia, China, Pakistan, Canada, Algeria, Algeria, Georgia, Hong Kong, India, Kyrgyzstan, Spain, Romania, UK, Indonesia, Tunisia, Greece, Morocco and Egypt.
While many local and international news channels from China to Pakistan covered the workshop in the international press, it was noteworthy that the workshop was organized and attended by young social entrepreneurs in order to attract the attention of young people.
Ismail Hilmi Adiguzel, who organized the workshop, said: “We have completed the preparations for the workshop, which we started with great excitement, with great excitement. During the workshop, we had the opportunity to examine 450 successful social enterprises in the countries of the participants. While examining the examples, we had the opportunity to examine the reasons behind their success by categorizing them according to the sector and the disciplines they apply and grouping them within themselves.
Stating that they will turn all these successful examples into a book, Adiguzel said, ‘Our aim is to bring together successful examples of social entrepreneurship in the international arena and to inspire new social entrepreneurs. If we talk about social entrepreneurship especially for our country, he said that social entrepreneurship is in the traditions of these lands.
In addition, Adiguzel said, “There are many good practices in our customs and traditions about social benefit. I have no doubt that the day we succeed in integrating these practices with our commercial life, very good examples will emerge.”
