Ismail Hilmi Adiguzel, Coordinator of the International Social Entrepreneurship Workshop, attended the “Strong Goodness Social Entrepreneurship Summit” at Erzurum Ataturk University within the framework of Global Entrepreneurship Week Activities. He explained the importance of Social Entrepreneurship in terms of rural development.
Celebrated in 170 countries at the same time, Global Entrepreneurship Week (Global Entrepreneurship Network) has been celebrated in Turkey in the 3rd week of November since 2008 under the leadership of TOBB. The main purpose of the events organized simultaneously all over the world is to encourage young people to consider entrepreneurship as a career option. Each country gathers all the entrepreneurship events organized in November and December in a single report and submits it to the global entrepreneurship conference.
In this framework, Ataturk University Career Center hosted the Strong Goodness Social Entrepreneurship Summit, the most comprehensive social entrepreneurship summit organized in Erzurum. For 2 days, valuable guests explained the opportunities and opportunities offered by social entrepreneurship to young people.
Ismail Hilmi Adiguzel, one of the most influential names in the field of social entrepreneurship in our country and the Coordinator of the International Social Entrepreneurship Workshop, made a speech on the first day of the summit, emphasizing that the secret to solving the social and financial problems of our country and the world is in Social Entrepreneurship.
Adiguzel said, “The whole world is preparing to move from pure profit-oriented company management to social benefit-oriented company management. This new system, called Social Business, has become one of the focal points of the business world with increasing importance day by day.”
Adiguzel mentioned that they are trying to ensure that young people dream of entrepreneurship by integrating into the new system by explaining Social Entrepreneurship within the entrepreneurship eco system in order to be understood and integrated with the whole world at the same time.
Continuing his speech by giving examples from our country and the world, Adiguzel mentioned that Social Entrepreneurship is important for young entrepreneurs, but also for companies operating in the national and international arena. On August 20, he mentioned that the CEOs of 181 companies, which have a 30% share of the American economy, issued a joint statement that they will transition from pure profit-oriented company management to social benefit-oriented company management and that they will be pioneers in this regard.
