The "NGO Revenue Model Building and Sustainability Training Conference", run by Social Business Global (officially Uluslararası Sosyal Fayda Derneği), is carried out under protocol No. 225-M-307, signed on 08.08.2025 with the Directorate General of Civil Society Relations of the Turkish Ministry of Interior.
The conference aims to help civil society organisations move beyond grant- and donation-dependent funding, build their own sustainable revenue models, diversify their funding sources and strengthen their institutional capacity. Participants learn about revenue model development and financial sustainability strategies, social innovation and social entrepreneurship practice, and how to access national and international grant, funding and support programmes.
The programme builds on the international social entrepreneurship workshops the association has held since 2019 with participants from 59 countries. So far the conference series has taken place 13 times in 9 locations: Afyonkarahisar, İzmir Bergama, Antalya Muratpaşa, İzmir Karşıyaka, Ankara Çankaya, Tekirdağ Süleymanpaşa, Bilecik, Konya Meram and Istanbul Avcılar. The Bilecik conference (24 September 2024) was held as the first pilot before the protocol was signed.
Talks are under way for Manisa, Balıkesir, Edremit, Istanbul Beykoz, Tekirdağ, Mardin, İzmir Bornova, Bursa Nilüfer, Şırnak, Adana and Antalya Konyaaltı.
